The Social Science Department

Welcome to the Social Science Department at Youth Opportunities Unlimited Alternative High School introduces students to advanced concepts of culture, history, and current events. History derived from the Greek word, historia, signifies inquiry of knowledge gained by investigation. Using technology based instruction The History Department uses a wide variety of discovery, analysis, and visual representations of past events and information. At YOUAHS, The History Department incorporates past, present, and future knowledge necessary to understand both U.S. and world events.
